Which science is the hardest?

Science continues pushing the boundaries of academia to its limits with theories, discoveries, and facts. Increasing numbers of students are starting to get interested in what science has to offer. The individual
As with any subject’s difficulty, ranking the sciences in this way is hard because the answer depends on the student. Some students might excel at physics more than chemistry, whilst others will be the best at biology. This all comes down to individual strengths and weaknesses and where students’ passions lie. Mathematically gifted students are more likely to do well in physics. However, a student with a vivid interest in the human body will likely do better in biology. Therefore, it’s hard to say which science is the hardest, although we can discuss this further with stereotypes below.
Physics
Generally, physics is often deemed to be the hardest of all the sciences, especially as an A level qualification. Physics involves a lot of complex maths content – an aspect that most students struggle with. It is, therefore, recommended that students study maths alongside physics just so they can get by in this subject. Without maths, students usually struggle to grasp the complexity that the mathematical problems pose in the physics exams. Furthermore, physics is often said to be psychologically harder than all the other sciences because you’ll spend a lot of time grappling with ideas that nobody understands.
Chemistry
Chemistry, often on par with physics’ difficulty, is also said to be very demanding. Some students even say that it is more difficult than physics, although this really depends on individual opinion. Chemistry also includes a range of maths problems and complex equations. Perhaps not as maths heavy as physics, chemistry is still dominated by a demand for high academic capability.
Biology
Biology includes a lot of scientific keywords to remember and a demand to write essays at A level. Therefore, this subject can also be considered a hard science. Many science students struggle with writing these essays as they are used to just working out objective calculations instead. The requirement for written academic flair in this area is often where science students lose those incredibly important marks. Biology mark schemes are also notorious for being very picky. This means that you’ll have to work hard to know what the examiner wants to see. Also being content-heavy, many students struggle with biology, although it generally appears easier than chemistry and physics.
In conclusion, students can expect all three sciences to be very difficult but you can get extra help by attending a Easter half term revision course to get some much needed help and exam insights. This is especially said if they are studying it post GCSE. Whilst physics is stereotypically said to be the hardest, this can vary from person to person.
