Exam.tips helps parents’ find a tutor or tutors for their son or daughter to help them prepare for their GCSE or A-Level examinations.

Our teachers are subject experts. They are not students at university. They are all qualified teachers who are working or have worked within an education environment.

The first step is to contact us where we will discuss your requirements. Based on your requirements we will then contact those tutors who we think will be most suited to help your son or daughter.

Yes. We can shortlist the tutors who are most suited and forward their CV to you and you can make a choice based on their experience.

Once it is agreed that you wish to go ahead with online lessons and a tutor has been selected we will pass your details to the tutor. He or she will then contact you to introduce themselves and to arrange a suitable time and day as to when lessons can proceed.

Payment for all lessons is made in advance. You will receive an invoice where you can make your payment securely via PayPal.

Yes. Payment is made via PayPal (this will show on your bank statement) so your money is protected.

Once we have received payment you will receive a confirmation email that your lessons are now booked. It is at this stage where your details will be passed to the tutor for the tutor to contact you and to arrange lessons.

Each one-hour lesson is £60/hour for both GCSE and A Level subjects. We do offer discounts when 5 lessons and 10 lessons are purchased in advance. Here we offer a discount of 5% and 10% respectively.

If your son or daughter is not able to attend the lesson please provide as much notice to the tutor as possible. We generally ask for at least 2 hours’ notice because we know that things can just crop up. Rescheduling a lesson with less than 2 hours’ notice will result in that lesson being charged for. The tutor will either rearrange a lesson for an alternative day, if possible, or lessons will just resume the following week as normal.

Online safety goes without question is why all out tutors have an enhanced DBS that is less than 3 years old.

Once we have received confirmation of payment your details will then be forwarded to a tutor who will then contact you directly. At this stage you are able to exchange contact details.

If after 5 working days after receiving confirmation of your paid lessons and you have yet to hear from us please contact us immediately.

We offering tutoring in the following subjects at both GCSE and A Level: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Economics, Geography and English. If there is sufficient demand for other subjects then we will look at offering those subjects also.

Your tutor will inform you of the online platform that will be used. The main ones are Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. We do not have our own platform simply because what is available for free is generally much better than bespoke options.

If you wish to have the lesson recorded you can make this request to the tutor and access details can be given so that the lesson can be watched again as required. But lesson notes are provided as well.

Under no circumstances should payment be made directly to the tutor. Payment is made via an invoice and paid via PayPal.

We do not offer a free trial. The aim of the initial discussion is to understand your requirements for your son or daughter and then to reach out to our tutors who would best suit your son or daughter’s needs. All lessons do come with a money back guarantee in the event that you are not happy.

In the rare case that you feel that you son or daughter is not benefitting from their online lessons it is important that you contact us without any hesitation. We will speak to the tutor to determine if there is any issue that may be causing them not to perform. If lessons continue not to be your satisfaction lessons will stop with that particular tutor and a replacement tutor found or a refund given.

We offer face to face and online revision courses over the half term holidays to help students prepare for their final exams. These students are for those in year 11 and year 13 only. A minimum of 4 students are required to attend a revision class with no more than 10 students attending. This is for both online and classroom-based revision courses. Course costs are £250/day for classroom-based courses and £200/day for online courses. Our classroom based courses take place in London with the intention to offer more locations as soon as possible.
