The functions f and g are defined by

The functions f and g are defined by f(x) = 3x + 2 and g(x) = x^2 + 4.

Find:
a the function fg(x)
b the function gf(x)
c the function f 2(x)

a) fg(x) = f(x^2 + 4)
= 3(x^2 + 4) + 2
= 3x^2 + 14

b) gf(x) = g(3x + 2)
= (3x + 2)^2 + 4
= 9x^2 + 12x + 8

c) f^2(x) = f(3x + 2)
= 3(3x + 2) + 2
= 9x + 8
