How Can Your Friends Help You Study for Your Exam?

We all need good support from our family and friends; it is what helps us get through life, right? Well the very same is true when it comes to studying too. Our friends and our peers can help us with our maths exam revision and give us the best chance when it comes to our exams. What is even better, is that you too get the chance to help your friends too!

One of the best ways we recommend to get the most support from your friends is to set up study parties. For years, these have been very popular in America however the trend is slowly starting to operate up and down the country; and this is solely down to how effective they can be.

Stay On Track

The best way to host a study party is to set a strict schedule; what do you aim to do, what do you aim to achieve, and at what time can you down tools and actually relax? Sometimes, where study parties go wrong, is that no schedule is set. So what this leaves is an open forum in which you all attend with the best of intentions however they are soon thrown out of the window and you are left just having a party!

So, set yourself some exam revision targets for the day. What are you going to study, and how! Make it clear as to what you should all expect to get out of the day; this way you and all of your friends will be able to know what to expect, the support they can receive and also what support they can give. This schedule does not have to be a formal memo, but can be a simple sheet so that you all know where the day will head.

Remember To Relax

Do not be afraid to see the study party morph and change into an actual social gathering; during your exams it is important that you do relax, and that you do take some time for you. However, in your schedule make it clear that you cannot break out until either a certain time has passed, or until certain topics and subjects have been covered. This can then be used as your reward. It will make for a nice incentive that you can all look forward to; but only once you have made the most out of your day.

Getting your friends involved with your studying is one of the best ways to make your studying more fun, enjoyable and less lonely. So do not be afraid to reach out, and set up a study party of your own; whether that be with just one friend, or ten friends.

A great way to make new friends is to join one of our Easter half term revision courses that take place throughout the year.

Of course, if you do want support with your practice exams, and you want a professional eye to help support, coach and mentor you through your studies then be sure to reach out and get in touch.

Should you require support throughout the year we also offer A Level and GCSE online maths tuition. Our interactive online whiteboard allows students to also draw and write allowing the tutor to check your progress and understanding.

Our courses take place during half term holidays and we are taking bookings now for our Christmas 2020 Half Term Revision Course. With the current situation with Covid-19 this course will be online. It is hoped that we can offer face to face classroom based maths revision courses as soon as possible.
